A matching two-dresser set made by Henry M. Goodman Furniture, Chicago, IL. Purchased new in the mid-1960s. One owner. Each dresser is made of wood, is painted an antique white w/ antique gold paint trim, is 34 in long x 18 in wide x 30 in high, and has three drawers. The upper and lower drawers have convex front profiles, and the middle drawer has a concave front profile. Drawers are dovetailed front and back. Each drawer has inside dimensions of 31 in long x 14 ¼ in wide x 5 ¼ in deep. There is a wood "dust cover" between each drawer. The stencil on the back of each dresser reads 8155-M-BUNCHING-83, CHEST WHITE & GOLD.Each dresser has a natural stone top (it's either marble or granite) that is off-white in color w/ a light brown inlay. Each top is 34 in long x 18 in wide x ¾ in thick. One corner of one top has been repaired (see detail photo). The natural stone tops rest on the dressers and can be lifted off of the dressers for easier transport.
What is each dresser worth? And, is it better to sell the dressers as a set or to sell them individually?
