This papyrus was given to me, already professionally framed, by a friend who knew I enjoyed Egyptian history and artifacts. According to him, his father received it, from a dig supervisor, while he was working as a laborer. I am not sure if his memory is correct but my friend said the dig was in Thebes. The dig must have occurred prior to the mid 1970's as my friend and his family moved to the U.S. when he was just 3 years old and he's now in his mid 40's. The papyrus is 37"L x14.5"W. The cloudiness is glare not damage to the papyrus. I have attempted to research it but have never been able to find anything remotely like it on line, nor can I read hieroglyphics. There is a taped slip of paper with, what I am told, are the words,'Queen ___ prostrating.' The person that translated it could not decipher the name of the queen. I've taken close up photos of individual sections of the hieroglyphics as well as a broad photo of the entire piece. I need to sell this, but have no idea of it's value. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
