Deans Rag Book Shirley Temple doll from the 1930s. She is the doll on the left in the picture. She is 39in tall and her body is stuffed with kapok. Her head is straw with a cloth mask face. She has a bonnet over her natural wool hair. I am wondering if she ever had a dress as she has large hips and thighs that would make a dress sit out and flow over her. She did have a red button on her waistline, I still have that to sew back on. She is not in the best of condition as she has been handstitched in a few places and just this week I got a cat and he decided to use her leg as a scratching pole. The doll is now protected from the cat!! I am also wondering what she is worth. I have only found one pic on google and that is how I found out that she is actually a Shirley Temple doll. I knew she was a Deans Rag Book doll as she has the label under her foot. The only other pic that I saw of her said that she was rare.
