Long Description
Good morning,
I am looking for more information and a possible valuation on a china tea set that was passed down to me from my great aunt via my Father. I have tried several times to find out more information on the tea set and also a valuation, but have never been able to find the hallmark or the depicted scene on any website. The cup is approximately 2" high and 3 inch diameter. To touch, it feels very femur. Unfortunately some items are damaged, but the set includes, a tea pot, milk pot, cups, saucers and small plates. It would be fantastic to find out more about the set after all of these years. Thank you in anticipation. Kind regards Newkybroon

Re: China Tea Set
It sounds like eggshell porcelain to me. If you can send more photo's of the markings on the bottom of the pieces and of the damge of the pieces and how many pieces you have. That would greatly allow me to give you an idea of the value. Question, when you hold it up to the light, is it transparant?Â
I sell antique glass, porcelain, china, etc... of all sorts on eBay.Â

Yes, the items do become somewhat transparent when held to the light.
In the set i have
1no teapot
1no milk pot
1no sugar pot
9no cups, 1 without a handle
12no saucers, 3 with chips in the side (very noticeable chips)
12no side plates 15cm diameter
2no plates 18.5cm diameter

I have added 3 new pictures to the original post. 1 of the whole set, 1 of the damaged saucers and 1 of the markings on the teapot.
