Long Description
I found this candelabra at a yard sale and it was badly tarnished. After cleaning it up I was surprised to find the beautiful brass beneath. I don't know anything about it, except that I have seen online many reproductions of original works that look similar. These are made in Italy. I would love to find information on this piece! Thanks for any help you can give!

Re: Brass Candelabra
Italy is well known for its ornamental brass industry, which really took of in the middle of the last century. Much of it is fairly poor-quality reproductions of very early 19th century pieces of bronze and silver, but this example here could stand on its own as a good middle-class piece of brass.
It's clearly contemporary and isn't extraordinary by any means, but its tastefully designed, of relatively good worksmanship, substantial in size, and in excellent condition by the looks of it. It would make an excellent centerpiece for a dining room table. I would retail it for between $150-$250.
