My cousin recently gave me this cabinet he was moving and was going to dump it. According to him the cabinet came was given to him by his great grandmother who's mother brought it over with her from the Czech Republic around 1840-1850. The cabinet itself has not seen any love for some time. I have taken it to an Amish gentleman to have repairs made the finish i do believe is shellacked for as it was transported it left stains on the moving cloth where it moved back and forth in the vehicle. Old silver lead compound on the mirrors and I cannot remember if any saw marks where there. Truthfully I had a hard time identifying what the piece was until I asked my cousin some more about it it rode around in my suv for almost a week until I could get it over to the Amish Gentleman where it now sit waiting for some attention and wont be ready till March or April. The detail under the curio portion is actually affixed to the larger door and when closed lines up giving it the required look. dove tails in the single drawer I think two on each side. Any info would be great, Thanks in advance. Shannon
