Long Description
I inherited a very old, very heavy (what was explained to me to be) an Italian marble coffee table. It has very nice wood carving design throughout. Â My grandmother had this in her home in the 50's but I cannot predate it any further than that. There is no make or model, but a few number markings which I have included. It bears the name "Chester" in chalk underneath, Â and the numbers (6174) and (3-59). Any information would be great. Thanks, Andrew

Re: Antique Italian marble wood carved coffee table
Your table was very likely bought new by your Grandmother, it is not actually an antique, the numbers "3-59" on the underside of the slab are most likely the date the marble was cut, March, 1959. tables like this were made for the export market after World War Two (1945)
