Antique Dress with dark wood veneer. Has 4 drawers. There are 2 smaller drawers each the same size and aligned horizontally at the top. Under the 2 smaller drawers, there are 2 larger drawers almost the same width of the dresser. All drawers are dovetail design.
The large bottom drawer has a design. There is a black colored design in the middle of the front of that drawer located closer to the top of the drawer. A gold colored line starts with a scroll at the middle black design and stretches from the middle of the drawer to the edge of either side of the drawer and ends with another scroll. There is a small black diamond shape design attached to the gold scroll at both edges of the drawer.
The bottom front of the dresser is curved in several places with a black design in the middle that matches the type design that is on the bottom drawer.
The dresser has an attached framed mirror. Each side of the frame near the top of the dresser is a larger black design that matches the same type designs that are located on the bottom drawer and the bottom front of the dresser.
Also attached to the same frame of the mirror are two compartments on each side that sit down on the dresser top. Each of these compartments have covers that can be removed. The covers have handles on top and are covered with a felt like material on the bottom of each. The covers are not attached to the compartments in any way. Each of the compartments are made to be able to swing out and around toward the back of the dresser. There is a hinge visible on the back of the dresser that attaches these pieces and allows them to swing around. When the compartment is moved around toward the back of the dresser, a smaller and much thinner hidden compartment is revealed.
Each of the front two legs are carved with grooved vertical lines spaced evenly around the leg. The back legs are a more simple form with no design. All 4 legs have a small funiture wheel attached.
The back of the dresser is stamped "100 1/2 F.W."
