My wife's grandfather passed away almost a year ago. We came across an Abercrombie & Fitch Co. New York - Tobacco Blending Kit. Inside the kit it has 9 different tins of various tobaccos from John Middleton. Each tin has a stamp which states"U.S. INTER. REV. ACT OF FEB. 26.1926 ONE AND THREE EIGHTS BUREAU ENGRAVING AND PRINTING. These seals have all been broken. Each tin has a full compliment of tobacco wrapped in an orange cellophane.
Along with the tins and tobacco there is also a tobacco measuring jigger. It is slightly warped but has no cracks. Inside the tin there is a cardboard like spacer for the tins to fit in to. This is bent (what seems like from taking the tins out and putting them back in).
I was curios what the value of a piece such as this would be. I could scarecly find any information about Abercrombie & Fitch selling tobacco - and the only listing I found on Ebay was for a match book. There was quite a lot of John Middleton's tobacco tins - but none in a set like this.
Thanks for any help you can provide :)
