Re: 1954 Leica M3 Camera
The Leica M3 was introduced in 1954 and was unique in a number of ways from predecessors, most notably featuring a combo viewfinder/rangefinder and the first incarnation of the bayonet lens mount which remains unchanged to this day. Â It is considered by some to be simply the best camera of all time and was also their best-selling camera with over 220,000 sold before production ended in 1966.
Here's the exciting part... the body alone of a similarly fine specimen of this camera (without accessories) recently sold for about $1995.00! Â The case by itself comfortably gets $50. Â I can't tell for sure from the photos but if that's a Leica 50mm Summicron Lens attached it's worth about $400.
