1943
Tried taking many pictures but my camera sucks and every setting is far too blurry. *sorry* The picture included is the same on the front of the ring, but is from a pin picture that I found online. My ring is a wee bit more worn than the pin shown but overall in fair shape.
This ring was my Great Grandfathers. It has high sentimental value, but I was able to look up the story of the companies and it is very interesting of the history. I was only able to find employee service pins online but no rings. Ring has some wear (a bit of smoothing) but everything is readable and overall in fair shape.
Not looking to sell, but was curious about the value for insurance purposes. I believe it is somewhat of a unique item and there is a story behind it too.
If anyone could give me an idea about, it would be greatly appreciated.
The ring is 10k gold (readable on bottom. B.P.C and Canol are very distinct on it 1943 and an airplane, truck, tank or treaded drilling machine??? and an oil well are on it. Upon closer inspection of other more pristine items (pins) a boat is visible on them, but that is worn off on my ring from some smoothing of the gold.
The canvas truck backing that shows "ribs" are missing (worn) Some of the tank? treads are visable... the boat is nearly gone (smoothed) the oil well tower still has cross hatches on it.
The ripples after the Canol logo that points towards the oil tower are smoothed but the definition still points to the tower and mountains are visible above it.***Upon further inspection of the picture of the pin that I posted, my ring has 3 mountains that carry over to below the "P" in the BPC (above the "N" in Canol)..... so the ring is a bit different than the picture***** Unsure of why there is a difference in that vs. the picture provided....****I don't think this is worth thousands, or hundrends btw...... I'm only looking for a ball park figure since I cannot provide a decent picture to properly assess. My apologies on the lack of picture detail that I can provide.
Explained on the link. My Great Grandfather was an employee.
