This Royal Deluxe is in excellent condition in origianl case -- with the original key layout by DVORAK. Made in 1935, it was probably a special order item. The other DVORAK key layout was the patented Simplified version. This typewriter has the original DVORAK key pattern with the odd numbers on the top left hand side and the even numbers on the top right hand side. The Simplified version had the numbers in order from left to right. This typewriter doesn't appear to have been redone with the DVORAK sequence. I believe it to be an original Royal Deluxe Special order DVORAK typewriter. I am interested to know if anyone else has one or knows how rare this typewriter is.
